DESCRIPTION:Starting at Starbucks in Wooferton\, this route uses roads that will be new to many WHAM riders. First stop is the famous Ponderosa Cafe for breakfast. Please refer to our Group Riding Policy and remind yourselves of the following points. \nRide outs – Please arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled time to sort riding groups. Please refer to our Program Page for ride-out details. \n_____________________________________________________ \nAll riders are reminded to check the weather forecast before each ride. If the temperature falls below 3 degrees please remember that the road temperature can be lower and there will be a risk of black ice. In addition heavy flooding and high winds add considerable risks to motorcyclists. WHAM will not normally cancel rides due to weather conditions so it is up to each rider to make their own decision whether it is safe to ride or not. \n_____________________________________________________ \nPlease arrive at the start point with a full tank of fuel. \n_____________________________________________________ \nYou are deemed to be in control of your machine at all times.  Anyone taking part in our group rides is expected to comply with road traffic regulations. \n_____________________________________________________

DESCRIPTION:WHAM Slow Riding Day Our most popular training day of the year – held once again at Throckmorton Airfield near Pershore care of Dennis Osborne. A must for Associates and recommended for full members\, especially those who have recently passed their test. Slow riding is an important skill and our Slow Riding day gives WHAM Members a chance to practice in a safe environment and have fun at the same time. \nThere will be a slalom course\, figure-of-eights and Den’s famous obstacle course. The afternoon session will up the pace with a chance to practice emergency braking on the runway. For 2020 we hope to have some Moto Gymkhana inspired exercises designed to take your bike handling skills to a new level\, watch this space for details. \nThis is an all day event\, please arrive at 9am prompt for the safety briefing. Coffee\, tea\, cold drinks\, sandwiches and cakes will be provided for a small contribution. \nOpen to all WHAM Members and Associates.

SUMMARY:Natter Night - Will Hopkins Rally Moto 500s Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Re-arranged from February –\n\nWill is presenting his experience of the Rally Moto 500s – an on road/off road rally roadbook navigation challenge – kind of like motorcycle orienteering. There are three events across the year in Kielder\, Wales and the IOM\, covering 500km on a weekend and aimed at the big adventure bikes on roadish tyres.\n\nHe’s got two videos\, one he put together showing the riding\, the other is from Rally Moto showing how the events work – both around 6 minutes each. There are a couple of props to pass around and a little bit of chat and Q&A.\n\nWill has also secured an additional two places for this year’s Wales 500 which starts/finishes at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells at the end of May.\n\nJoin us at the Falcon at 19:15 for a 19:30 start. All WHAM Members very welcome and please feel free to bring an interested partner or friend.

DESCRIPTION:  \nStarting at Hereford McDonalds\, today’s route takes us around the same route as June’s ride out but in the opposite direction\, the ride feels completely different this way round\, especially the last leg which seems much better going South. \nLeg 1 – Starting at McDonalds Hereford the routes takes us down to Three Ashes then accross to Abergavenny via the excellent Skenfrith Road. Then we follow the Usk Valley and B4560 to our breakfast stop at the Honey Cafe. \nLeg 2  – Heads up the Wye Valley\, crossing the river on the way to Builth Wells to use the more interesting B road. We then head back down the twisty B4520 through Upper & Lower Chapel to Brecon\, down the Usk Valley and over Blaenavon to the Steel Horse Cafe for afternoon coffee. \nLeg 3  – Tracks back to Hereford via the Chepstow road. \nArrive at the start point at 08:30 for a 09:00 start. \nDownload Routes: \n\nIn Garmin Format\nIn Google Earth\nIn GPX Format

DESCRIPTION:WHAM Day ride. Tregaron and Newquay.Starting at the OK Diner in Leominster\, Leg 1 takes us to the Halt Cafe near Rhayader via Presteigne and the Llanbister Road. \nLeg 2 is the real highlight of the trip taking in the excellent Newbridge to Beulah road then over the Mountain Road to Tregaron. We then head down the cracking ‘B’ road to Newquay for fish & chips by the sea. \nLeg 3 returns on the bigger A roads via Lampeter and Llandovery to the Little Chef at Builth Wells for an afternoon cuppa. \nLeg 4 is a straight forward run back to the start point at Leominster. \nMeet at the Diner at 08:30 for a 09:00 start. \nPlease arrive with a full tank of fuel and buy your coffee from the OK Diner not the garage.
