DESCRIPTION:WHAM Dayout – Rutland TT.\n\nUsed by the Journalists from most of the UK’s motorcycling press as a road test route\, the Rutland TT offers WHAM Members something a little different to our usual days out in Wales.\n\nLeg 1: Starting at Mc Donalds Wychbold (just off the M5 Junction 5) we make our way on a good mix of roads to the first staging post on the Rutland TT\, McDonalds Market Harborough.\n\nLeg 2: This leg takes us around Rutland Water then North\, bypassing Grantham to the lunch stop at Syston Park Farm Shop.\n\nLeg 3: Returns to the West of Rutland Water to McDonalds at Market Harborough for a coffee before the long trek home.\n\n\n\nThis will be a fairly long day out\, especially for those travelling from the Hereford area so I’ve left it up to you how you get home\, I expect most of you will punch your home address in the satnav and use the fast roads.\n\nPlease arrive at the start point at 08:30 for a 09:00 start.\n\nAll of the above is\, as usual optional. SUMMARY:WHAM Day Ride - Welsh Lakes
DESCRIPTION:Full day ride.\n\nPlease arrive at 08:30 for a 09:00 start.\n\nStarting at Starbucks in Wooferton\, Leg 1 takes us through Prestiegne and across the Llanbister mountain road then heads up the twisty bits of the A483 towards Newtown. The route then tuns off to Llandiloes where we head for the first lake of the ride\, Llyn Clywedog Reservoir. Our first stop is close to the Dam at Cafe Clywedog. (This used to be the Red Kite Kiosk).\n\nLeg 2 takes us on a narrow technical road around the lake (great views)\, uses the main A470 to Dinas Mawddy then heads off into Snowdonia National Park for a complete change of scenery. We then head up the North sIde of Lake Bala (those with small fuel tanks / thirsty Ducatis are recommended to fill up in the town). Then is over another scenic mountain road to Lake Vyrnwy and its visitor centre for refreshments.\n\nLeg 3 heads back along some of the best roads that Mid-Wales and Shropshire have to offer to our start point at Wooferton.\n\n\n\nDownload Routes:\n\n 	Garmin GDB\n 	 File\n 	GPX File\n 	Google Maps\n\nNOTE: Our ride-outs are for WHAM Full Members only. DESCRIPTION:WHAM Day Out – Welsh Railways. \n\nIMOIRTANT NOTE! PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE OK DINER CARPARK. THEY HAVE INSTALLED A PARKING CAMERA SYSTEM AND WILL FINE YOU IF YOU PARK THERE AND DONT USE THE FACILITIES. PLEASE PARK NEXT TO THE FUEL STATION INSTEAD.\n\nLeg 1: Starting at the OK Diner in Leominster  (please fill your fuel tank here)\, this route winds its way through the familiar Shropshire Hills and onto the epic Crossgates / Newtown to the Welshpool and Llanfair Railway cafe for our first coffee stop (60 miles).\n\nLeg 2: We then skirt Lake Vyrnwy and Bala riding  some of North Wales’ best roads through Snowdonia (watch your speed!) to the Tan-y-Bwlch Café on the Porthmadoc to Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway (57 miles).\n\nLeg 3: The ride back follows a similar route to the ride out (it seems totally different this way round..!) until we get to Penybontfawr where we head for Welshpool and then on to Bromfield for a cuppa in the Ludlow Farm Shop Cafe. (90 miles)\n\nFrom Leominster to the last stop is a total of just over 200 miles so its a full day out. DESCRIPTION:WHAM are organising a tour to Luxembourg & the Ardennes.\n\nSo far we have 10 rooms booked at a hotel in Vianden from the 16th to 19th May.\n\nYou will need to book your own ferry / tunnel crossing (recommended times for crossing will be published here) and your own accommodation in Mons.\n\nItinerary:\n\nWeds 15th May: Transit to Mons area in Belgium via Channel tunnel or ferry for overnight stay.\n\nThurs 16th May: Transit to Vianden in Luxembourg via excellent roads through the Ardennes.\n\nFriday 17th May: Explore the local roads (routes will be provided in the usual way).\n\nSaturday 18th May: Explore the local roads (routes will be provided in the usual way).\n\nSunday 19th May: Check out of Vianden Hotel and return home.\n\nLuxembourg has probably the best motorcycling roads in Europe. WHAM have done a number of trips there in the past and Vianden is in the heart of the good stuff. It is also a picturesque town in itself with plenty of options of restaurants and bars.\n\nThis event is open to WHAM Full Members only\, please contact Tony Davis for further details.
