DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce a planned 2025 Wham trip open to all full members to BETWS Y COED in Snowdonia\, Wales. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe invite you to join us for a few light shandy’s\, great scenery\, great roads and great company!  We have visited this area and hotel on several occasions which has always been a superb weekend enjoyed by all. \nWe will leave AM on Friday 19th September for 2 nights returning on Sunday 21st September PM and our route master already has some fantastic\, planned routes. \nWeekend Itinerary as follows:- \nFriday 19th September – Wooferton to Betws-y-Coed via Lake Vyrnwy \n \nMeet@ 10:00 am for an 10:30 start from Starbucks Wooferton (Riding groups will be organised when you arrive and we will try to stagger the groups to avoid one big boring convoy). \nLeg 1 – Wooferton to Lake Vyrnwy Visitor Centre.  73 miles\, ETA 14:30. \nLeg 2 – Lake Vyrnwy Visitor Centre to Betws-y-Coed. 49 miles ETA 17:00. \n\nSaturday 1st October – Evo Triangel\, Harlech\, Bedgellert and Llanberis Pass (this is the reverse of the 2022 route). \n \nMeet@ 09:30 am in the carpark behind the Glan Aber Hotel. \nSaturday AM – Betws-y-Coed to Harlech via the EVO Triangle & Lynn Brenig 70 miles\, ETA 12:30. \nSaturday PM – Harlech to Betws-y-Coed via Bedgellert & Llanberis Pass. 52 miles\, ETA 15:00. \nOptional Saturday PM  – Ffestiniog Loop. 42 miles. \n\nSunday 2nd October – Return home via Barmouth\, Machynlleth\, Dolfor & Newtown. \n \nMeet@ 09:30 am in the carpark behind the Glan Aber Hotel. \nSunday AM – Betws-y-Coed to Ty’n y Cornel Hotel via Beddgelert\, 59 miles\, ETA 12:00. \nSunday PM -Ty’n y Cornel Hotel to Wooferton via Machynlleth\, 95 miles\, ETA 15:30. \n\nDownload Routes:- \n\nIn Garmin Format\nIn GPX format\nGoogle Maps\n\nFriday\nSaturday\nSunday\n\n\n\n\nFor accommodation there are 2 options:- \nOption 1 – We have reserved 3 x Bunk House rooms (twin rooms\, therefore ONLY 6 spaces) at the Glan Aber Hotel & Bunkhouse.  \nThese are BASIC bunk house rooms with bunk beds; having stayed at the hotel previously they are clean and tidy with good social areas and lively bar available. The cost of the rooms is £48 per person for 2 nights! – so very reasonable. Breakfast/dinner can be booked on arrival\, however for those confirmed joining us I will send out further emails for those wishing to join us for an evening meal (meal choices will need to be made ahead of attending). If you wish to reserve a space in the bunk house then please let me know on the contact details below and I will then send across to you the paypal link to arrange payment. You may want to buddy to book a room OR I will just allocate people into the bunk rooms as and when they book. So due to spaces available in the bunk house\, we will need to double up. \nTo secure your place in one of the bunk rooms please contact Duane Sanger on 07967622478 or email duane.sanger@kristaldd.co.uk. This is a 1st come 1st served basis.  \n  \nOption 2 – The hotel then has several “standard rooms” in the form of doubles\, twins and singles.  These would have ensuites etc and include breakfast. If you would prefer to book one of these then it will be case of you contacting the hotel direct to book your room. I have not been able to find a suitable weekend when ALL rooms are available\, therefore I know some rooms will have already gone. You will need to be quick in booking OR find an alternative hotel in the area. \nCan I please ask that you still let me know that you have booked a room either direct or at another hotel so I can then include you in all correspondents regards the trip. \nIt would be fantastic to fill this trip with Whammers – please register your interest ASAP to avoid disappointment or by Sunday 10th August 2025 at the latest – however as stated above this has always been a popular trip\, therefore I expect the bunk rooms and hotel to be fully booked by the weekend at the latest!

SUMMARY:WHAM Day Out - Chepstow & The Brecon Beacons
DESCRIPTION:WHAM  Day Ride Chepstow and the Brecon Beacons. Starting at McDonalds in Hereford\, leg 1 takes the road to Monmouth\, skirts around Chepstow Park to pick up the (brilliant) road to Usk and the Baffle Haus Cafe for a coffee. (54 miles). Leg 2 Takes us up the moor to Blaenavon then joins the Heads of the Valley road before we get to the B4560 over the Beacons. This leads us to the excellent road through Upper and Lower Chapel to Builth Wells then loops back to the Honey Cafe at Bronnlys for a late lunch. (67 miles). Leg 3 goes back over the Beacons to our start point via Skenfirth. (52 miles).  As usual\, all of the above is optional\, please join us for as much as you can\, it should be a good day out on some excellent roads. Meet at Hereford at 08:30 for a 09:00 start. DESCRIPTION:WHAM Dayout – Rutland TT.\n\nUsed by the Journalists from most of the UK’s motorcycling press as a road test route\, the Rutland TT offers WHAM Members something a little different to our usual days out in Wales.\n\nLeg 1: Starting at Mc Donalds Wychbold (just off the M5 Junction 5) we make our way on a good mix of roads to the first staging post on the Rutland TT\, McDonalds Market Harborough.\n\nLeg 2: This leg takes us around Rutland Water then North\, bypassing Grantham to the lunch stop at Syston Park Farm Shop.\n\nLeg 3: Returns to the West of Rutland Water to McDonalds at Market Harborough for a coffee before the long trek home.\n\n\n\nThis will be a fairly long day out\, especially for those travelling from the Hereford area so I’ve left it up to you how you get home\, I expect most of you will punch your home address in the satnav and use the fast roads.\n\nPlease arrive at the start point at 08:30 for a 09:00 start.\n\nAll of the above is\, as usual optional. SUMMARY:WHAM Day Ride - Welsh Lakes
DESCRIPTION:Full day ride.\n\nPlease arrive at 08:30 for a 09:00 start.\n\nStarting at Starbucks in Wooferton\, Leg 1 takes us through Prestiegne and across the Llanbister mountain road then heads up the twisty bits of the A483 towards Newtown. The route then tuns off to Llandiloes where we head for the first lake of the ride\, Llyn Clywedog Reservoir. Our first stop is close to the Dam at Cafe Clywedog. (This used to be the Red Kite Kiosk).\n\nLeg 2 takes us on a narrow technical road around the lake (great views)\, uses the main A470 to Dinas Mawddy then heads off into Snowdonia National Park for a complete change of scenery. We then head up the North sIde of Lake Bala (those with small fuel tanks / thirsty Ducatis are recommended to fill up in the town). PLEASE PARK NEXT TO THE FUEL STATION INSTEAD.\n\nLeg 1: Starting at the OK Diner in Leominster  (please fill your fuel tank here)\, this route winds its way through the familiar Shropshire Hills and onto the epic Crossgates / Newtown to the Welshpool and Llanfair Railway cafe for our first coffee stop (60 miles).\n\nLeg 2: We then skirt Lake Vyrnwy and Bala riding  some of North Wales’ best roads through Snowdonia (watch your speed!) to the Tan-y-Bwlch Café on the Porthmadoc to Blaenau Ffestiniog Railway (57 miles).\n\nLeg 3: The ride back follows a similar route to the ride out (it seems totally different this way round..!) until we get to Penybontfawr where we head for Welshpool and then on to Bromfield for a cuppa in the Ludlow Farm Shop Cafe. (90 miles)\n\nFrom Leominster to the last stop is a total of just over 200 miles so its a full day out. DESCRIPTION:WHAM are organising a tour to Luxembourg & the Ardennes.\n\nSo far we have 10 rooms booked at a hotel in Vianden from the 16th to 19th May.\n\nYou will need to book your own ferry / tunnel crossing (recommended times for crossing will be published here) and your own accommodation in Mons.\n\nItinerary:\n\nWeds 15th May: Transit to Mons area in Belgium via Channel tunnel or ferry for overnight stay.\n\nThurs 16th May: Transit to Vianden in Luxembourg via excellent roads through the Ardennes.\n\nFriday 17th May: Explore the local roads (routes will be provided in the usual way).\n\nSaturday 18th May: Explore the local roads (routes will be provided in the usual way).\n\nSunday 19th May: Check out of Vianden Hotel and return home.\n\nLuxembourg has probably the best motorcycling roads in Europe. WHAM have done a number of trips there in the past and Vianden is in the heart of the good stuff.
