DESCRIPTION:WHAM Special Event – A talk from Ian Rivers about his epic Atlantic crossing in 2021.\n\nVenue: The Falcon Hotel\, Bromyard\, HR7 4BT\n\nIan Rivers made an unsupported Atlantic crossing in 2021 rowing single handed and without GPS navigation aids\, relying on only a sextant as the main form of navigation. Nobody had previously attempted such a feat. Ian will be here in person to tell us about his incredible adventure.\n\nIan is a long standing member of WHAM\, a National Observer and holder of an IAM Masters with Distinction qualification.\n\nWe expect a high turn out for this event and the numbers we are able to accommodate at the venue are limited. SUMMARY:Natter Night - Will Hopkins Rally Moto 500s Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Re-arranged from February –\n\nWill is presenting his experience of the Rally Moto 500s – an on road/off road rally roadbook navigation challenge – kind of like motorcycle orienteering. There are three events across the year in Kielder\, Wales and the IOM\, covering 500km on a weekend and aimed at the big adventure bikes on roadish tyres.\n\nHe’s got two videos\, one he put together showing the riding\, the other is from Rally Moto showing how the events work – both around 6 minutes each. There are a couple of props to pass around and a little bit of chat and Q&A.\n\nWill has also secured an additional two places for this year’s Wales 500 which starts/finishes at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells at the end of May.\n\nJoin us at the Falcon at 19:15 for a 19:30 start.
