SUMMARY:WHAM Day Ride - Welsh Lakes
DESCRIPTION:Full day ride.\n\nPlease arrive at 08:30 for a 09:00 start.\n\nStarting at Starbucks in Wooferton\, Leg 1 takes us through Prestiegne and across the Llanbister mountain road then heads up the twisty bits of the A483 towards Newtown. The route then tuns off to Llandiloes where we head for the first lake of the ride\, Llyn Clywedog Reservoir. Our first stop is close to the Dam at Cafe Clywedog. (This used to be the Red Kite Kiosk).\n\nLeg 2 takes us on a narrow technical road around the lake (great views)\, uses the main A470 to Dinas Mawddy then heads off into Snowdonia National Park for a complete change of scenery. We then head up the North sIde of Lake Bala (those with small fuel tanks / thirsty Ducatis are recommended to fill up in the town). Then is over another scenic mountain road to Lake Vyrnwy and its visitor centre for refreshments.\n\nLeg 3 heads back along some of the best roads that Mid-Wales and Shropshire have to offer to our start point at Wooferton.\n\n\n\nDownload Routes:\n\n 	Garmin GDB\n 	 File\n 	GPX File\n 	Google Maps\n\nNOTE: Our ride-outs are for WHAM Full Members only.
