WHAM 2024 Slow Riding Day

June 22 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm

It’s that time of year again when we (the good members of WHAM) embark on our journey into slow riding.

This year’s event is on June 22nd  it starts at 10:30am prompt. It is at Madley Industrial Estate, which can be found south-west of Hereford (Follow the link below)

There is something for everyone here, a chance to polish your slow riding skills without the added consideration for other road users. We have exclusive use of the estate roads.

Throughout the day we have some easy courses to negotiate which get slightly harder as the day progresses. There is a chance to practice your emergency braking in a controlled environment, you can find you exactly how long it takes to stop your bike!

There are refreshments, a charity collection which is making its way to the amazing charity that is ‘Blood Bikes’, so please do make an affordable donation.

This excellent day culminates in a very competitive slow ride between the start and finish line, and the winner is, (yes you guessed it) the slowest rider of the day. This lucky individual gets to hold the Slow riding trophy for the rest of the year.

Please arrive promptly on the day, it is a great day out in good company and a bit of banter too, what’s not to like. See you there!

All riders are reminded to check the weather forecast before each ride. If the temperature falls below 3 degrees please remember that the road temperature can be lower and there will be a risk of black ice. In addition heavy flooding and high winds add considerable risks to motorcyclists. WHAM will not normally cancel rides due to weather conditions so it is up to each rider to make their own decision whether it is safe to ride or not.
