WHAM Special Event – A talk from Ian Rivers about his epic Atlantic crossing in 2021.

Venue: The Falcon Hotel, Bromyard, HR7 4BT

Ian Rivers made an unsupported Atlantic crossing in 2021 rowing single handed and without GPS navigation aids, relying on only a sextant as the main form of navigation. Nobody had previously attempted such a feat. Ian will be here in person to tell us about his incredible adventure.

Ian is a long standing member of WHAM, a National Observer and holder of an IAM Masters with Distinction qualification.

We expect a high turn out for this event and the numbers we are able to accommodate at the venue are limited. Therefore we are asking you to RSVP using the link below, this will issue you with a ticket via email (if you do not receive your email please check your junk folder for wordpress@wham-motorcycling.org)

Please limit the number of guests in your RSVP to two.

NOTE: IF DEMAND IS AS HIGH AS EXPECTED WE WILL ONLY BE ALLOWING TICKET HOLDERS INTO THE EVENT SO PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR TICKET WITH YOU (PAPER COPIES AND MOBILE PHONE COPIES ACCEPTED).

Ian’s online donation pages are  now off line, however we will be taking cash donations on the night.

Once the allocation of tickets us used up ticket allocation will end.
If you register to attend and then are unable to come please let us know (EMAIL events@wham-motorcycling.org)  so that we can re-issue your ticket.

WHAM rides are only open to Full Members of Worcester & Hereford Advanced Motorcyclists. 

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled time to sort riding groups.  Please refer to our Program Page for ride-out details.

Please familiarise yourself with our Group riding Policy before joining a ride-out.

All riders are reminded to check the weather forecast before each ride. If the temperature falls below 3 degrees please remember that the road temperature can be lower and there will be a risk of black ice. In addition heavy flooding and high winds add considerable risks to motorcyclists. WHAM will not normally cancel rides due to weather conditions so it is up to each rider to make their own decision whether it is safe to ride or not.
