WHAM Day Ride – Aberdovey via Mountain Roads
Starting at Starbucks Wooferton.
Leg 1 – Some familiar roads to start with then it gets interesting on the Llanbister road, ends up at the Halt Cafe south of Rhayader for coffee.
Leg 2 – Uses some brilliant mountain roads not seen on any of our regular routes. Ends in Aberdovey where we park up in the main carpark. Walker’s Fish and Chip shop over the road from the carpark is recommended for lunch.
Leg 3 – Heads down to Aberystwyth then avoids the busy A44 in preference to the excellent A4120 to Devils Bridge then over the Elan Valley to the visitor centre for afternoon tea.
Leg 4 – Back to Wooferton via Builth Wells and Hundred House.

WHAM rides are only open to Full Members of Worcester & Hereford Advanced Motorcyclists.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled time to sort riding groups. Please refer to our Program Page for ride-out details.
Please familiarise yourself with our Group riding Policy before joining a ride-out.

All riders are reminded to check the weather forecast before each ride. If the temperature falls below 3 degrees please remember that the road temperature can be lower and there will be a risk of black ice. In addition heavy flooding and high winds add considerable risks to motorcyclists. WHAM will not normally cancel rides due to weather conditions so it is up to each rider to make their own decision whether it is safe to ride or not.
