WHAM Exmoor Weekend – 20th to 22nd June

Friday 20th June Meet at 10:30 am at Starbucks Ashchurch (Tewksbury). Leg 1 takes us down through the Cotswolds to our first coffee stop at Jackdaw’s Coffee House in Malmesbury town – 62 Miles. Leg 2 through Bath to Cheddar Gorge – 49 Miles. Leg 3 uses some ‘necessary’ roads (limited options for good roads around Bridgwater) then enters the National Park where the roads improve to the hotel – 40 Miles Download Routes for Friday 20th:
Saturday 21st June Leaves the hotel at 09:30. Leg 1 takes us from the Hotel via the Exe Valley, over the moors & some spectacular roads, through Barnstaple to the Fremington Quay Cafe for coffee – 59 Miles Leg 2 heads for our lunch stop at Lynmouth on the coast (plenty of cafe choices or fish & chips) – 28 Miles Leg 3 returns to the hotel via the brilliant A39 coast road (excellent views) – 28 Miles Optional Route For those who have not had enough there is an optional bonus route down the river valley – 36 miles Download Routes for Saturday 30th:
Sunday 22nd May: Leaves the hotel at 09:30. Two options for today: Option 1 Take Leg 1 back down the Exe Valley and then over the moors back to Lynmouth – 48 Miles. Then take leg 2 up the coast road then back in land and over the Quantock Hills ending up at Sedgemoor Services on the M5 where we go our separate ways – 64 Miles Option 2 Take the Quick Route Home that still uses some of the roads from Option 1 (including the Quantock Hills) and finishes at Sedgemoor – 32 Miles Download Routes for Sunday 1st May: Consolidated Routes for the whole trip:

WHAM rides are only open to Full Members of Worcester & Hereford Advanced Motorcyclists.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before scheduled time to sort riding groups. Please refer to our Program Page for ride-out details.
Please familiarise yourself with our Group riding Policy before joining a ride-out.

All riders are reminded to check the weather forecast before each ride. If the temperature falls below 3 degrees please remember that the road temperature can be lower and there will be a risk of black ice. In addition heavy flooding and high winds add considerable risks to motorcyclists. WHAM will not normally cancel rides due to weather conditions so it is up to each rider to make their own decision whether it is safe to ride or not.
