Here is a guide to some of the best breakfast bike stops around. More details of any good breakfast stop that is OK for bikes will be added as we find them.
Currently most of these are relatively local but as we travel more breakfast stops will be included. If you have any recommendations please let us know.
The Food Stop at Quatford on the Bridgnorth to Kidderminster
Road just outside Bridgnorth. A large car park, loads of bikes, quick, cheap food and good facilities. Petrol station next door.

Harry Tuffins at Churchstoke on the A489, shortly before the junction with A490 (going west!). Good access with a large car park. Quick, cheap food with good facilities. Petrol station. This stop is very convenient if you are heading out to the Welsh coast or the mid Wales area. During the week it used by motorcycle instructors and the police for their breaks.

Harry Tuffins at Craven Arms on the junction of the A49/B4368. Petrol station and reasonable car park. Food is not bad and reasonable prices.
Crossgates just outside Llandrindod Wells. This is at the junction of the A44 and A483, just off the roundabout Eastwards towards Penybont. The cafe is not that cheap but is clean, quick and is used to a lot of bikers. There is a small shop and a petrol station attached. Be warned!!!!! This is also a favourite stop for the police as well ........

The Wye Knot Stop cafe at Llyswen is at the junction of somewhere and somewhere else! Actually it's easy to find on the A470 on the way to Builth Wells but be warned.... if the sign outside that points you to the car park shows it on the opposite side of the road then ignore it! The car park is behind the cafe and if the owner puts out the sign the wrong way round then you won't find it.
Anyway the important stuff; the cafe is spotlessly clean and you can sit outside if you want to kill yourself with tobacco. The toilet is unisex but unless it is absolutely packed won't be a problem. Food is good and the menu looks good for a lunch stop with a good variety of choice. Coffee is freshly brewed and comes in a good size cup, Prices are slightly above average which means around £6 for breakfast and coffee (2007). About the same price as Crossgates but more friendly and intimate. Check it out for lunch. NOTE: The Wye Knot is closed for the whole of January every year.

Caffi Carys at the junction of the A458 with the A470 near to Dinas-Mawddwwy. The cafe is on the the A458 as you get to the roundabout at the A470 junction.
The cafe is larger inside than it looks from outside and is warm and dry! Ideally placed for going on up (or down) the Welsh coast. Toilets are outside but the food is reasonable and it's clean inside.

Queenswood Country Park, just outside Leominster on the A49 towards Hereford. The facilities are very good with a good seating area and room for kit. The toilets are clean and there is a wide variety of breakfast type food. The only downside is the car park is a bit gravely.

The West End Cafe is a wonderful café. Good food, good prices and spotlessly clean.
Particularly popular with local bikers, there are always a few bikes about, but very popular at weekends.

Buxton Five Ways Cafe. Right in the centre of Buxton. Food is nothing brilliant but it is very good value. Parking can be difficult when busy!
Five Ways can be found where the A515 crosses with loads of other roads.
The Ponderosa, Horseshoe Pass, North Wales, Probably one of the Best Biker's rest stops, good menu, clean loo's, and a shop. Very scenic with a good car park, but no petrol station. Lots of bikes stop here but be warned that being at the top of a pass there is more then the average chance of some poor weather.
Ty Tanllan on the A5 at Cerrigydrudion. The cafe is located on the left hand side as you head towards Betws-Y-Coed on the big sweeping bend. You can't miss it as it is the only stop there. Good parking and facilities about 12 miles from Betws-Y-Coed. It's a good place to meet with other bikers and check out the latest 'road' information! The food is nothing special but it is hot and quick.
