A significant element of our activity is developing motorcycling skills in accordance with the principles and techniques of Roadcraft. As well as our coaching activity for Associates we have a broad programme of different motorcycle experiences for Advanced Motorcyclists too.
Typical events in our Programme include:
These are at The Falcon Hotel, Bromyard, location map here.
These meeting are an opportunity to meet and chat with other members - put a face to the rider of a bike you recognise!
As well as the "chat" there will be brief announcements about forthcoming events, a guest speaker or practical training on topical Motorcycling issues, and of course the chance of a pint and sustenance.
The Club organises regular rides each Sunday:
Note that the Observed rides mentioned here are in addition to the arrangements made between Observer and Associate for 1:2:1 coaching.
Experience handling a bike on a loose surface and have quite some fun doing it!
The DART! Programme Is only available to full members (who have passed their Advanced test) and includes:
A chance for all those GS-ers to show us what its all about!
An event focussing on slow handling of the machine. The intent is to demonstrate 'how to' manoeuvre a bike at walking pace, U-turns, obstacle courses etc.
It's a fun event with a clear benefit - how can we call ourselves Advanced Motorcyclists if we look like amateurs in town ?
The organisation of the day will concentrate on safety first, but fun coming in a close second.
It will be competitive but only a little!
WHAM! has a staged programme of Circuit training callled START! which allows Members the experience of extremes of bike handling at speeds not possible on the public highway.
The programme has three stages leading up to major Continental tracks such as Spa.
Note that the START! programme is only available to Full Members of WHAM!

WHAM! organises touring events under its VISTA! programme.
These can be simple weekend trips to other UK regions, or maybe a Motorcycle Show in the UK.
More adventurous trips to the Continent take in some of the best motorcycling roads available. These trips are inevitably longer, typically 7 - 10 days.
