WHAM – We’ll give you a Motorcycling Skill for Life…
The IAM Skill for Life (SFL) programme will make you a better, safer and more progressive rider. You must be a full licence holder. The programme consists of anything from 4 to 10 sessions with an IAM observer. Each session lasts from 2 to 4 hours. Sessions are based on riding, discussion and theory, demonstrations and practice and are arranged on a day and at a time to suit you.
The SFL programme is usually completed over a couple of months and unlike advanced ‘day’ or ‘half day’ training sessions ensures that your ‘better riding’ techniques become instinctive and natural.
On completion of the programme and to guarantee the standards of your rider development, you can take the IAM Advanced Motorcycle test which is carried out by a (serving or retired) Police Class 1 Advanced Rider.
